Volunteer Coach Jack Kearney receives congratulations from Carle Place Director of Athletics Jim Colligan.

On Saturday, Oct. 25, Carle Place High School inducted 81 people into their Athletic Hall of Fame. In addition, there were 29 teams inducted from the fall of 1995 through the spring of 1999. A total of 441 people and 158 teams have been inducted beginning with the Class of 1957.

The school's Athletic Hall of Fame is extensive and reflects the rich history of Carle Place High School's athletic programs. The ceremony, which lasted about 2 and a half hours, was held in the Joseph C. Burke Auditorium. There were approximately 300 people in attendance. The school hosts an induction ceremony every five years and this induction included student athletes from Classes of 1995 through 1999.

The Carle Place High School's Athletic Booster Club hosted a reception at the Papa Razzi Restaurant following the induction ceremony. It was very well attended and everyone seemed to have a good time reliving their high school experiences. Both Chris Ceruti (women's coordinator for athletics) and Jim Colligan (director of athletics) introduced each one of the recipients by highlighting their major accomplishments.

Marino Ceccoli, retired teacher, coach and women's coordinator for athletics at Carle Place High School, was recently inducted in the district's Athletic Hall of Fame as Assistant Superintendent David Flatley looks on.
