Action Party Announces Candidates for March Village Elections
There will be a Village of Westbury election on March 16. One board trustee seat is open due to the upcoming retirement of Trustee Bridget Zaino, while Trustee and Deputy Mayor Paul Echausse and Village Justice Thomas Liotti, both members of the Action Party, will be seeking re-election.

Chairman O'Shea to Address Councilman Fuschillo Republican Club
Nassau County Chairman of the Board of Assessors Charles O'Shea will address the Councilman Charles J. Fuschillo Republican Club on Wed., Feb. 10 to discuss Governor George Pataki's legislation giving homeowners until March 1 to apply for the School Tax Relief or STAR program. The meeting will be held at the Westbury Community Center, 360 Post Ave at 8 p.m.

Local Athlete to Play Vytra All-Star Hockey
R.J. Nappi, a sophomore at Carle Place High School, will play on the Nassau County team for the third annual Vytra Cup All-Star High School Ice Hockey Tournament on Feb. 7. The game, co-sponsored by Vytra and the New York Islanders, will be played at Nassau Coliseum at 6 p.m., following the New York Islanders game against the Vancouver Canucks.
