The Syosset Storm split two games this past week, as a winning summer season continued for SYAC Travel Softball teams. Syosset has four travel teams competing in the Glen Cove Mayor's Trophy, with a cumulative 7-6 record.

The Syosset Storm suffered their first loss of the season Friday, July 25, in a tough 12-9 loss to the Sea Cliff Thunder. They rebounded on Sunday with a big 11-3 win over the Oyster Bay Hellcats. The Storm is 3-1 in the U10A Division and is vying for the playoffs.

Also competing this summer in Glen Cove but off this past week: the Syosset Hurricanes, in the U10 B Division; the Syosset Thunder, who are undefeated in Glen Cove's U12 A Division; and the Syosset Xtreme, in U14.
