On Sunday, June 8 at 10 a.m., there will be a tryout for a fall baseball team that is open to only Jericho High School students who are currently in 9-11 grades that have a serious interest in playing varsity or JV baseball next spring.

The team is being coached by Tom Goren, who last coached the Jericho Jay Sox 16-year-old entry in the National Junior Baseball League. This is an independent team that is not affiliated with Jericho High School. The team is being formed for the main purpose of keeping Jericho baseball players together during summer and fall baseball, and to teach the Jericho baseball system. Participation with this team is not mandatory for those who wish to play on the Jericho High School Varsity or Junior Varsity teams next spring.
