John S. Olivari, of Albertson, died on Sept. 17, 2006. He was a US Army veteran serving in WWII and Korea. He was ex-chief of the Albertson Fire Company, past president of the NC Firemen's Association and FASNY. He was a member of VFW Albertson Post #5253. Husband of Josephine. Father of Stephanie Prefer (Douglas), Christine Kos (Dino) and Maria Olivari. Grandmother of Dana, Marissa, Olivia, Alexandra, Christopher and Julianna. Arrangements were made by Weigand Bros. Funeral Home, Williston Park. Funeral Mass at St. Aidan's RC Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery.
