The Fall Sports Awards dinner on December 5, 2005, recognized the accomplishments of Roslyn High School's fall athletes and their teams.
Several hundred students, parents, coaches and other staff members attended the dinner in the high school cafeteria.
Some highlights of the fall season include: The varsity football team made the playoffs for the first time in more than 30 years; The boys' varsity soccer team made it to the playoffs and advanced to the second round; The boys' varsity golf team advanced to the playoffs, which will be played in the spring; Three teams - varsity football, boys' soccer and girls' soccer - won the Nassau County Sportsmanship Award; Seven teams earned the designation of Scholar-Athlete Team: boys' cross country, girls' cross country, boys' golf, boys' soccer, girls' soccer, girls' tennis and girls' volleyball; and 116 individual students achieved the designation of Scholar Athlete.
