On Sunday, Sept. 19 the Third Annual East Hills Mayor's Trophy men's softball tournament will be held beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Harbor Hill Elementary School. The championship game will be held the following Sunday, Sept. 26 at 9 a.m.

Sign-ups will begin immediately, are expected to fill up early. While all East Hills residents are encouraged to play, there will be availability for a limited number of non-village residents to participate.

Teams will be formed the evening of Sept. 13, so registration ends at 6 p.m. that day. The cost is $25. To register, email Mayorstrophy@aol.com and indicate what positions you play, and mail checks only (no cash) to: The Village of East Hills Village Hall, 209 Harbor Hill Road, East Hills, NY 11576. Also, please, due to logistical matters, there will be no sign-ups permitted the day of the event, nor will cash will accepted. Regrettably, if the village does not confirm your check as being received by Sept. 13, due to insurance reasons, you will not be able to participate.

Jerseys will be distributed, and breakfast will be served the morning of the tournament. Trophies will be handed out to the winning team, and pictures will be taken and distributed to all the local media.
