Boys' Cross Country
Coach Kearney
The boys' cross country team continues to improve, finishing 2nd behind powerhouse Lynbrook. Most runners posted personal bests.
* Izeall Cisco finished 3rd overall dropping his time by 25 seconds.
* Bryan Sonnick is also starting to show significant improvement posting his best time of the season.
* Freshman Adam Wagner and Alex Czik continue to perform well and have earned a spot as varsity runners.
* Newcomer Annraag Parikh has shown a great deal of talent posting personal best every week
Girls' Varsity Soccer

The girls' varsity soccer team won their first game on Wednesday 2-1 against Carey.
* Michelle Koenig started the scoring early in the first half on assists from Arielle and Shana Ditkowich
* Bari Claster scored the second goal on a corner-kick
* Jen Sales made a season high 19 saves
Girls' Cross Country

The girls' cross-country team had tough competition this past week finishing 3rd to Floral Park and Plainedge but winning over Island Trees
* Allison Rappaport, Julia Kessler, Sheryl Hoffman, and Jillian Kron all performed their personal best during this meet
Girls' JV Soccer
Coach Hattem
The Roslyn Girls' JV Soccer team tied Carey 1-1 this past Wednesday with the only goal scored by Randi Korder with six minutes left in the game. On Friday, the team played perhaps their best game of the season in defeat against Hicksville falling 3-2 with only 11 players in uniform
* Ashley Musiker and Randi Korder both scored one goal each to tie half way through the game but fell short as the game came to an end by 1 goal
The girls' showed unbelievable effort and determination coming back against a very strong team.
Varsity Football

The Boys' Varsity Football team beat neighboring rival Jericho 20-7
* Ronnie Combs had two touchdowns for the bulldogs
* Isiah Mitchem led the offense and also scored one TD
* Rusty "RVD" Dreksler led the defense with 11 tackles
Girls' Varsity Tennis

The Girls' Varsity Tennis team had a great week with an outstanding match by Rachel Karnofsky and Ashley Spivak. This doubles team won an important match against Port Washington this past Friday. They were down 4-5 in the third set and came back to win 7-5. What a great victory!
* Roslyn is tied with Port Washington for first place in our division
JV Football

The JV football had a tough loss but a hard fought game against Syosset on Saturday 26-21
* Maalik Oliver scored 3 touchdowns for the Bulldogs
* Neil Bass had 8 tackles
Girls' JV Tennis

The Girls' JV Tennis team had a great week. They had two tough matches winning to Hewlett 5-2 and losing a close match to Syosset 4-3
Boys' Varsity Soccer

The Roslyn Boys' Varsity Soccer Team defeated Westbury earlier last week winning 4-0
* Eric Paulenoff contributed 2 goals to the win and Scoot Sohn and Jeff Swersky both scored 1 goal each
* Later in the week the boys' fell to Cold Spring Harbor 2-0
Girls' Varsity Volleyball

The Girls' Varsity Volleyball team traveled to Seaford this past Friday and managed a come from behind to win.
* Julie La Spina, Tiarra Augustine and Dana Finkelstein combined for 50 kills and 56 digs, 8 aces, and 3 blocks to secure the win
* Malorie Simons did a tremendous job distributing the ball as she accumulated 32 assists during the match
The next home game should be a thriller against the #4 team in the county-Mineola-this coming Friday at 4:30 p.m.

The Boys' JV Soccer team continues to work hard preparing for their games this week
Girls' JV Volleyball

The girls' JV Volleyball team had a tough week, starting with a loss to Mineola on Tuesday, and then continuing with a loss to Seaford on Friday. However, the girls redeemed themselves with great team play at the Carle Place Tournament on Saturday. The girls' played well against West Hempstead, Carle Place, and Calhoun, and showed good team effort.
