Boys Cross Country
The boys' cross country team finished second to Floral Park but advanced over Glen Cove on Tuesday, Sept. 29.
Izeall Cisco continues to lead the team with his strong performance.
Marc Fernandez had his best time since last year.
Jonathan Rosen and Bryan Sonnick have also become strong runners for the Varsity race.
Freshman Adam Wagner and Alex Czik continues to do a great job leading the JV race.
Girls' V-Soccer
The girls varsity soccer team continues to show improvement despite their three losses this past week to Mineola, Sewanhaka and Great Neck South.
The team no quit attitude has be recognized and received constant complements for other coaches in the conference.
Girls Cross Country

Julia Kessler finished first for the Roslyn team with a time of 26:51.
Liza Becker finished first overall in the JV race with a time of 24:16.
Girls JV-Soccer
The Roslyn Girls JV Soccer team had a great week advancing over Sewanhaka 3-0 and Great Neck South 2-1. These impressive wins came after being defeated by these two teams earlier in the first two week of the season.
Dani Arouty did an outstanding job as goalie allowing only in the last two games.
Good defensive playing by Randi Korder and Lexi Klapper.
Lindsey Hagan played extremely well scoring the winning goal in both games.
V-Football
Playing their best game so far this season, the Bulldogs played a great 3 quarters of football before bowing to Glen Cove at this years' Homecoming game.
The team was led by sophomore QB Michael McCann's 3 touchdown passes-2 to Sacha Roubeni and 1 to Ronnie Combs.
The Bulldogs are looking forward to their first victory this Saturday against Jericho.
Girls V-Tennis
The Girls Varsity Tennis team continues to work hard looking forward to their upcoming match.
JV-Football
The JV football played hard this past Saturday against Glen Cove.
Maalik Oliver had a total of 156 yards rush during the game.
Girls JV-Tennis
The Girls JV Tennis team had a great week despite losing to Jericho 4-3 on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
Boys V-Soccer
The Roslyn Boys Varsity Soccer Team had two tough games and two very competitive games this past week, losing to Jericho 5-1 and Bethpage 4-0. The team went on to tie against Seaford 2-2 and then on Saturday, October 4 they advanced over Island Trees 4-1.
During the Seaford game Scott Sohn and A.J. Reisman both shared 1 goal.
The victory over Island Trees was attributed to the entire team finally working together.
Scoring in the Island Trees game sharing 1 goal each was Scott Sohn, Jeffrey Swersky, Ben Weindorf and Eric Paulenoff.
Jeffrey Swersky is also recognized in this weeks Newsday as Scholar Athlete of the week.
Girls V-Volleyball
The Girls Varsity Volleyball team continues to show signs of top notch play as they improved their home record to 3-1 and overall a record of 4-5. After being down 2 games to none against Lynbrook they almost completed a come from behind win but fell short 24-26 in game five. Wednesday was a totally different team as they quickly deflated and defeated the #5 team in the county Hewlett. Thursday brought another tough road loss against the county #1 seed, South Side. Although they were in the match thru the first game and a half, the experience of the senior laden South Side group was overwhelming.
Not to worry though...we hope to get another shot at them in the county playoffs.
Boys JV-Soccer
The Boys JV Soccer team had a great week playing 3 games. Winning against Seaford and Jericho but had a tough game against Island Trees which ended in a tie 2-2.
Scoring in the Seaford game were Cole Charnas, Zack Diamond, Kyle Shenfeld, Raynnier Higgins and Jeremy Einhorn.
Scoring in the Bethpage game were Cole Charnas 1 goal, Jeremy Einhorn 2 goals, Jaime Hanfling-1 goal and Jake Hirsch-1 goal.
During the Island Trees game Jake Hirsch and Jamie Handling both contributed to the 2 goals scored against Island Trees.
Girls JV-Volleyball
The Girls JV Volleyball team had a tough week, ending in a disappointing loss to South Side. However, they are beginning to really play like a team, and are improving in every aspect of the game.
