The Sid Jacobson JCC of East Hills has announced the addition of Mark Levitt, Tracy Levy and Jess Howard Drabkin to its board of directors.

Mark Levitt

Mark Levitt, managing director of Credit Suisse First Boston and the global chief financial officer of the Investment Banking Division, based in New York, has been a member of the JCC for over five years. He received his BA, in accounting and mathematics, from Emory University in 1985 and his MBA in finance and management from Columbia University in 1990. Mark and his wife Susan have lived in Roslyn Estates for over five years. They have three children: Gabrielle, 7, Alexa, 4 and Eli, four months old. Gabrielle and Alexa have both participated in the JCC's Early Childhood Nursery School Program.

Over the past few years Levitt has taken an active leadership role in the JCC's Auction For Excellence and the EarlyBirdCapital Golf and Tennis Outing.

Jess Howard Drabkin

Jess Howard Drabkin has been a member of the JCC for over 15 years. He, along with his wife Eva and their children Michael, 16, Hillary, 12 and Brooke, 7, have lived in East Hills for 16 years. Drabkin's is an entertainment attorney for Grubman, Indursky & Schindler in Manhattan. As an undergraduate, Drabkin attended Columbia University and continued on to graduate Harvard Law School.

As a boy, Drabkin attended Sholom Alecheim FolkShul, where he developed a strong sense of Yiddishkite. Jess and Eva strongly believe in the values of a Jewish identity, as they have been deeply involved in the Jewish community. Hoping to instill their love of Jewish heritage and identity in their children, they send son Michael to North Shore Hebrew Academy and daughter Brooke to Solomon Schecter Day School.

Tracy Levy

Tracy Levy joins the board where she will accompany her husband David, who is the current assistant treasurer. Tracy and David reside in Roslyn Harbor with their children Ethan, 8 and Benjamin, 6. Tracy previously worked as an investment analyst, researching the retail and food industries for Schaenen Wood Associates, an investment-managing firm. She received both a BBA from the University of Michigan in 1989 and a MBA in finance from New York University in 1994.

For the past six years Tracy has been vitally involved in the JCC's Auction For Excellence and is an integral part of its success. Tracy also co-chaired the JCC's Chanukah Habayit, an open house in September 2001, to celebrate and invite the whole community to JCC's expanded and renovated building.
