William Henry Moger, son of the late Roy W. Moger and Charlotte (Moore) Moger of Roslyn, died at his home in Boutilier's Point, Nova Scotia, Canada, on Dec. 26, 2001, at the age of 56. He was a graduate of Oakwood Friends School, Poughkeepsie, and Cornell University, and received the Ph.D. degree from the University of California at Davis. He was a professor in the Dept. of Physiology and Biophysics at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he had taught and conducted research for over 25 years. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann (Simmons) Moger; his stepmother, Elizabeth H. Moger of Hanover, NH; his sisters, Susan (Ted Armour) Moger of Edgewater, MD, and Patricia (Sid Reischer) Moger of East Chatham, NY; niece, Rachel Moger-Reischer; and nephews, Roy Moger-Reischer and Benjamin Moger-Williams.
David Marshall Steel, of Roslyn Heights, died on Jan. 12, 2002. He was a member of the Roslyn Kiwanis and past president of Roslyn Rescue Hook and Ladder Co. #1. Husband of Patricia. Father of Deborah Steel Groby, Ann E. Steel and the late David M. Steel II. Grandfather of Claire M. Groby. Son of the late Reginald A. and Henrietta T. Steel. Brother of the late Reginald A. Steel.
