On Sunday, Oct. 25, the Village of Roslyn saw itself as host to one of the most important religious leaders in the world.
On that evening, a private dinner was held in honor of the arrival of His All Holiness, Bartholomew, Archbishop of Constantinople, New Rome and Ecumenical Patriarch.

Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice announced that a grand jury has returned a 69-count indictment against a Roslyn attorney for stealing more than $300,000 from prospective adoptive parents by promising them babies that did not exist. The DA’s Office has established criminal cases involving 13 families as the result of an investigation that began in May 2008.

The Muttontown Preserve will host a guided “Autumn Hike” on Sunday, Nov. 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The hike will cover woodland trails, meadows, upland woods and wetlands.
