As the year quickly comes to an end, I wonder how time goes by so quickly. A typical day for students consists of nine periods of classes, including lunch, trips to one's locker, the library, the computer lab and constant interaction with friends and teachers.

School Administrators Granted Raises
The Mineola Board of Education approved work agreements for nine central office administrators for the 2008-09 school year. The salaries for eight of the administrators include raises in salaries from the 2007-08 school year.

Long Island Lizards Game and Fireworks
The Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse will take on the New Jersey Pride Thursday, July 3 at 7 p.m. at Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale. A fireworks display will follow the game. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Lizards T-shirt courtesy of the Lax Hut.
