An environmentally friendly, high efficiency home heating system is now available to Hempstead residents. At a recent ribbon cutting ceremony, Supervisor Kate Murray and Councilman Gary Hudes welcomed Liberty Biomass to Levittown. "We are pleased that Biomass had made Levittown its home," stated Murray. "Alternative energy systems can provide efficient heat for homeowners while helping to protect our delicate eco-system."
Liberty Biomass is the first exclusively "green" energy dealer in Hempstead to offer high efficiency pellet stoves that use alternative fuels made from carbon neutral wood and or corn. Unlike fossil fuels, pellet fuel burns extremely clean and is environmentally friendly because it comes from renewable sources. It is safe and extremely cost effective.
"Pellet stoves are a good choice for people who experience high home heating bills due to fluctuating energy costs," remarked store owner Robert Rutter. "In fact, pellet stoves are often installed in homes as secondary heat sources to maintain control over heating expenses. They provide efficient heat with minimum emissions thanks to state-of-the-art technology that ensures almost complete fuel combustion."
Traditional fireplaces and wood stoves smoke excessively because they do not burn wood with complete combustion. Smoke is essentially unburned fuel. The new pellet stove, which burns pellets made of highly compressed sawdust from sources such as shipping pallets and leftover construction wood, creates an optimum burning environment and essentially burns the smoke away.
"Residents who are concerned about our planet and the high cost of home heat should explore green technologies such as high efficiency pellet stoves," concluded Hudes.
