July 17 was the third round of our match play tournament. Eight more men bit the dust and eight more are left. We had a very good turnout today. Fifty golfers showed up. There were 34 pars with only Frank Larke getting as many as four. We also had a birdie on the par 3, 200-yard, 4th hole by Sevald Knudsen. There were 13 men that shot under net part and 4 shot an even par. Last week we had Dave Malle down for the actual low score of 35, he really shot a 34. Wow! Next week will be a Scramble Tournament.

The next tournament will be Thursday, Aug. 7. Sign in at 7 a.m. - don't be late.

Competition on the nine-hole course is divided into two divisions. Flight A is for players with a handicap of 13 or less. Flight B is for players with a handicap of 14 or more. The league is a 100 percent handicap league. Any man who is 55 years of age is eligible.

Because of the rapid growth of our club this year, we regret that we must limit our membership. The time involved to make-up the foursomes and the waiting time for all the groups to finish is prohibitive. If you have already called to say that you wish to join the club, we will accept you, but after that we will have to put you on a waiting list. For more information call Lou Neumann at 681-2056.
