Thousands Pay Tribute to Country's Vietnam Vets
Despite the heat wave, thousands of people traveled to Hicksville last weekend to touch and look upon the Dignity Memorial Vietnam Wall. Traversing across the United States since 1990, the Dignity Wall is a three-quarter scale, traveling replica of the Vietnam Memorial, the most-visited Washington DC monument.

Suozzi-Led Commission Seeks School Tax Cap
The New York State Commission on Property Tax Relief, chaired by Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi, issued its preliminary report and is calling for a cap on the property tax cap levy of school taxes at 4 percent or 120 percent of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), whichever is less.
