Town of Oyster Bay Holds Induction Ceremony
The Town of Oyster Bay held an induction ceremony on Jan. 5 to swear in the newly elected and incumbent members of the board, on which the Republicans now outnumber the Democrats 6-1.

St. Ignatius 8th Grade Girls Basketball Update
St. Ignatius' 8th grade girls used a full court-trapping defense to defeat a good St. Rose team. Led by Michelle Kurowski (22 points) and Julia Finlay, St. Ignatius never trailed. Key defensive contributions came from Morgan Rubanow, Karly Cohen and Ashley Appice. The final score was 48-26 in favor of St. Ignatius.

Hicksville Runners Continue GLIRC Excellence
The Dec. 16 meeting of the Greater Long Island Running Club (GLIRC) served as the club's annual awards night for 2003. It was highlighted by an abundance of very special people who received awards in recognition of their athletic accomplishments along with their service to the club and the Long Island running community.
