Johns Hopkins field hockey senior Emily Miller of Garden City was recently honored as the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week. It is the fifth conference player of the week honor Miller has received.

Miller totaled nine points on four goals and one assist in wins over #10 Christopher Newport and Delaware Valley State at the 2008 Black-Eyed Susan Tournament. She had a pair of goals and an assist in the Blue Jays 8-2 upset win over the captains Aug. 30 and followed that up with another two-goal performance against the Aggies in the championship game Aug. 31.

Miller's four goals and nine points has moved her into second place in Johns Hopkins history with 39 career goals and 94 career points. She is just 10 points and 10 goals shy of the school's all-time records held by Beth Cariello (1990-93).

Hopkins returned to action Sept. 7. At this time, the #11 Blue Jays traveled to Salem, VA to take on the Roanoke Maroons.
