William "Bill" Harold Morris, 60, of Fairfax, VA, passed away on Jujly 11, 2008. Bill was a longtime Farmingdale resident and graduate of Farmingdale Class of 1965. He was the husband of Patricia and father of William J. and Catherine. Son of Loretta Eckhoff. Brother of Pat, Barbara Happ, Tom and Carol D'Abbraccio.

He had a distinguished career with the New York City Police Department where he began as a police officer in 1968 and rose to the rank of detective in 1983. Bill retired from the NYPD in 1990 and moved his family to Northern Virginia. He began his career with the Drug Enforcement Administration as an intelligence analyst in September 1991. Throughout his tenure with the DEA, Bill held a diverse number of assignments within the Washington DC area. Bill's professionalism and dedication to the DEA mission will be greatly missed by his many friends and colleagues.

Funeral services were held in Herndon, VA.

Erik John DiOrio, 19, of Farmingdale, died tragically on July 11, 2008. Son of John and Linda. Brother of Christopher. Nephew of Nancy Harris (Tom) and George Pantaleo (Beth). Grandson of Catherine and the late George Pantaleo and the late Jennie DiOrio. Godson of Joseph Rumplo. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held July 18 at St. Kilian RC Church with interment following at St. Charles Cemetery. Donations in Erik's name may be sent to the "Erik DiOrio Memorial Scholarship Fund" (35 Spielman Ave., Farmingdale, NY 11735) to be awarded to a future Farmingdale High School graduate. May he be at peace with grandpa and grandma Jen at his side. Robert Greening, 86, of South Farmingdale, passed away July 12, 2008. Husband of Doris. Father of Carol Espositio (John), Barbara Hillery (Paige), James Greening, Peggy Casoria and Paul Greening (Samantha). Grandfather of Lauren, John and Katie Mei. Also survived by four sisters. Served 1940-1946 in the U.S. Navy. Retired 38-year Con Ed employee, Charter member of the South Farmingdale Fire Department. Volunteer at Battleship Cove, Falls River, MA. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. A Religious service, Pastor Julia Yim officiating, was held July 16 at the funeral home. Cremation was private. Donations in Robert's memory may be sent to Battleship Cove, the South Farmingdale FD or the United Methodist Church of Farmingdale. Alice L. Curley, of Bethpage, passed away at home July 13, 2008. Former registrar of Bethpage High School Charter member of the Bethpage Colonials Fife and Drum Corps. After many years of marriage, she was predeceased in 1988 by her husband, Frank. Alice is survived by her son Frank; daughter Lynette Curley-Roam; seven grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; and her sister Anne Knott. She was predeceased by her sister Mary. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. A religious service was held July 15 at the funeral home with interment at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Edward Evert, of Hicksville, formerly of Canarsie, passed away July 16, 2008. Husband of the late Patricia. Father of Edward, Patricia Evans, Veronica and Donna. Grandfather of Kyle, Samantha, Michael and Madison. Brother of Joan Shanley. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. A prayer service was held July 21 at the funeral home with interment following at St. Charles Cemetery. Phyllis Ann Ruggiero, beloved mother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend, passed away with her family by her side after a long battle with cancer. Phyllis was born in Bethpage, raised her daughter in Connecticut and lived the past 43 years in both Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, FL. She was known for her smile, cooking and baking talents and the enjoyment she felt providing for others. She loved music, dancing, and playing cards with her friends in both New York and Florida. Phyllis is survived by her daughter Maryann Tucciarone and son-in-law Arthur Resnikoff of San Francisco, CA; sister Rose Marrone of Orlando, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Joann Ruggiero of Mount Sinai and New York, NY; nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and great-grand-nieces. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Services were held at the funeral home on July 18 with a Mass held at St. Martin of Tours Church on July 19. Wife of the late Elwood. Aunt of the late James Donaldson Jr., Lynn Donovan, Mary Volpe, D. Robert Donaldson, Evelyn Boyleston, Lynne Fritcher, Dolores Dromerhauser and families. Sister-in-law of Dorothy Donaldson. Arrangements were made by McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home. Religious service was held in the funeral home officiated by Pastor Rodney Eberhardt. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park. Thomas James Wilkinson (Tom), age 49, of Knoxville, TN., passed away on July 16, 2008. Retired from Alcoa in 2007. Husband of Barbara. Son of the late Jack and Marge Wilkinson. Brother of Jack and Kathleen Stanton. Son-in-law of Leonard Smity. Also survived by stepdaughter Melissa Burr; brother-in-law John Stanton; and sister-in-law Janet Ward. Uncle of Katherine, Alison, Kyle and Ian; and survived by many other relatives and dear friends. Arrangements were made by McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home. Religious service was held at the graveside at St. Charles Cemetery. Maura Schultheis, of Farmingdale, passed away on July 20, 2008. Wife of Robert Farrell. Mother of Christopher Farrell. Daughter of Warren Schultheis and the late Margaret. Sister of Diane, Ellen and Richard. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held at Our Lady of Mercy RC Church. Interment St. Charles Cemetery.
